Our ACD's We needed a working dog to work at our farm and so we ended up with the Australian Cattle Dog. We were looking for a dog who would also be able to work with the tough cows with calves. And this is how our first Australian Cattle Dog "Jätkä" alias Cranefield's Eltoreado came to our farm in 1989. With him we got to know also the dog shows and followed by his Champion title we really got interested and we decided to acquire another Cattle Dog. Because the breeding basis of the breed was already then so narrow we decided to import "Mellu" alias Ligras Blue Melody of Sweden from Sweden. Both of these dogs worked very well but due to an accident "Mellu" wasn't able to work no longer and this forced us to get our third Cattle Dog. Then we imported "Pimu" alias Rokeglen North Star from Australia and she proved to be an excellent working dog. She did very well with the cows with calves as well as with the dairy cattle and she was doing an excellent job with the sheep which we purchased after giving up the cattle. She did not only herd the sheep but she also helped many newborn lambs to get hold on their lives. "Pimu" went to Doggie Heaven in the autumn in 2001. During these years we have had few litters and as we were trying to get on with our breeding work we have imported couple more Cattle Dogs. In 1996 "Tälli" alias Landmaster U Muster arrived from Autralia and in spring 2002 arrived our latest import "Heksa" alias Cor Hydrae Astra Canina from Poland. At home we also have "Felix" alias Kohon Fellow Felix who is a son of "Heksa".
